Pharmacist Positions

As a Walgreens pharmacist, you have numerous opportunities for career growth and a wide range of locations from which to choose. You can work as a community pharmacist in one of our 7,000-plus retail locations, as an onsite pharmacist with a hospital or a

business, or as a home care pharmacist – just to name a few of the possibilities. It’s the chance to hone your skills and advance in a company uniquely dedicated to our pharmacists.

Our home care pharmacists manage much more than medication – they provide a whole range of home care needs for our patients. From infusion and respiratory services to the home delivery and setup of medical equipment and supplies, you’ll have the chance to help patients live healthier and happier lives.

Working as a long-term care pharmacist means creating long-lasting relationships with our geriatric patients. As we build our long-term care practice, we are looking for consultant pharmacists to provide excellent patient service in an intimate setting, as well as assist in the development and maintenance of physician interactions.
As a central pharmacy operations pharmacist, you will provide real-time support to Walgreens retail pharmacies. This includes everything from data verification and clinical reviews to performing patient consultations over the phone. You will discuss medications and dosages with prescribers as well. The support you provide will help our retail pharmacists provide appropriate patient care and consultation in a face-to-face setting.

Our specialty pharmacy division assists those living with chronic illnesses and complicated disease states by helping them access the best quality healthcare available. Here, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with clinics, organizations and hospitals devoted to treating particular diseases, in order to provide their patients with convenient and comprehensive care.

As an onsite pharmacist for Walgreens, you’ll have the unique opportunity to work with medical teams to develop clinical programs with patients, medication consultation, and bedside medication delivery. It’s an opportunity to excel in a more autonomous environment.
At Walgreens, you will play a personal role within your community by ensuring that your patients receive the medication and care that they need. It’s everything from immunizations, patient consultations to the training and mentoring our pharmacy technicians.
